Come Chill Uphill at ChillSpace!

ChillSpace WORKS for WOMEN is the brainchild of 

New York commercial photographer, LISA POWERS.

Lisa relocated from New York to New Zealand in 2005,

and settled high up in the Port Hills of Christchurch.

"The move was a Herculean task" says Lisa,

"I had heaps of furnishings plus my photo studio equipment and...

my four beloved kitties to pack up.

My kitties had to go straight to quarantine,

which added to my 'off-the-scales' stress level!"

While living in New York, Lisa kept her energy and fitness going strong

by working out on a Power Plate machine for 20-25 minutes, three times a week. Power Plate machines, with certified trainers, were easily found in New York...

but NOT in Christchurch!

Undaunted, she bought two commercial-grade machines, received her training

and certification,  and launched ChillSpace from her home.

ChillSpace quickly became a local haven for time-constrained business women, new mums, and elder women who might not be able to get the exercise they need.

And, what a location!

Clients enjoy panoramic views of Christchurch, stretching from the majestic Southern Alps, across the city to the ocean and up the coast to the Kaikouras.  Without doing anything else, clients feel their spirits lift.

In the background, there's a lovely selection of classical piano music to relax the frenzied mind.

The Power Plate machines are strategically placed to ensure clients can focus on the magnificent view while they're working out.

Power Plate is safe for ALL women, no matter what age, shape, or fitness level.

Lisa personally guides each client from the very first session through advanced levels, tailoring each workout to suit the client.

"The first session is always free." states Lisa, "The reason for this is that it's impossible to describe what a Power Plate workout feels  like.  People need to get on the machine and have a session to understand how effective and FUN the Power Plate is! Repetitions on conventional gym equipment can become tedious and boring. Eventually people stop going.  A Power Plate workout is short and varied.  It's kept fresh and challenging!  Plus there's always good conversations to be had!"
